Hi all,

It is not a triathlete, it is a competitive swimmer since 1992 and is an athlete who has always faced challenges and that it is on record in 2012 size: to participate in his sixth Olympic Games at the age of 45 ! I invite you to discover in a video that shows to be an Olympic athlete is not easy, but also by its exemplary sports and personal, it is a source of inspiration for all women and as men and that, whatever the sport practiced.

A typical training day: 6 hours of intensive training

Everything begins at 7:00 am. She take care of her daughter Tessa and like any mother on earth, she takes good care of her so she starts her day well. Breakfast, exchanges, and go to school. For Dara Torres, the real day begins ... She then goes at Coral Spring Complex, a complex of swimming in the open where she prepared all Olympics since 1992, at the age of 25, she left the quiet sanctuary of her grand-mother and the university to join the team of American Olympic Swimming to prepare her first games.

Discover together this video in full 4 episodes where we start the day with two hours of intensive swimming, followed by another 2 hours of strength training and then a good meal to end the day with, new, 2 hours of recovery through massage called resistance stretching or "Masching"... so that the muscle fibers of the body to recover more easily and quickly.

Here is the video of a day of training an athlete who is not like the others ...

Swimming: Two hours of training under the watchful eye of coach !

Crawl, backstroke, and resistance exercises to stress is at the program! it spares no efforts and doing everything possible to ensure that the preparation for the London Games 2012 will be a success. Secondly, it is a program of muscle building in gym similar to those we know. Two hours, too, are made without compromise. The goal of all these efforts is to be on the podium at the next Olympic Games in London because during these games, it will be "enemies" in other water lines adjacent to his young swimmers to just 20 years.

But there is no other swimmers, there is also the fact of passing a beautiful message: why does our society that we have more than 40 years is no longer notion of pleasure and performance high level? It demonstrates share it with all the medals obtained during his long career, when you are passionate and you love a discipline, and that will, it has made it his life, it allows break stereotypes and to vibrate at a global level swimming enthusiasts. Also, women of all nationalities recognize in his efforts to demonstrate its vitality and beauty, because not only Dara Torres is a multiple medalist in swimming, but it is also a model and again, age is shown in reference the fashion world ... then ... seeing her live in both a rich sporting life and a personal life that is just as much, I think we can be inspired by his example and disassemble, we also, whatever the discipline that we practice and that we women where men and ideas must change radically, and even more than 45 years, may have all afford !
